Collection: Eastern White Pine Tea

Steeping methods

1. The long steep... Think sun tea.. great for iced tea!

( requires more patience but provides more nutritional content as the short steep  boiling water can reduce some vitamin content)

Cut up needles into smaller pieces, you can also use a mortise and pestle for a more aromatic tea as this opens up the needle releasing more oils and terpenes. Add 1 tablespoon white pine needles per cup or water and steep overnight.

Optional add lemon and honey before serving!

2. The short steep .. traditional cuppa hot tea

Though adding herbs to boiling water may take away some vitamin content it is not hugely significant and still makes a lovely tea.

Cut up needles into smaller pieces, you can also use a mortise and pestle for a more aromatic tea ( stronger flavor in hot steeping) as this opens up the needle releasing more oils and terpenes. Add 1 tablespoon white pine needles per cup add water and steep for 5 minutes.

Optional add lemon and honey before serving!
